DOMAINE GIGOU
Although La Chartre might be the centre of the wine world around here, Gigou is the only grower to have vines, a total of three hectares, within the commune. The Gigou’s wines are the epitome of the old, traditional style of Jasnières, and they are justifiably proud of the fact. They are the reference point for this style of wine in the region and keep good volumes of older vintages to help illustrate their worth with maturity. Joël and Ludovic are great ambassadors for these two appellations.

2014 Coteaux du Loir
100% Chenin. Light straw color. Wine spent 11 months sur lies in neutral French oak barrels. Nose shows green apple, Asian pear, hazelnut and a streak of chalky minerals—hints of California style integrated with a very complex and enticing Chablisienne structure. In the mouth there is hints of the richness that will emerge with proper cellaring, but the wine today shows a lean and clean package, built for 5-10 years in storage. Bright, elegant and compact. 100% malolactic and bone dry.
2000 Jasnieres Saint Jacques
This wine has some bottle age to show both the complexity and authenticity of the heralded Domaine Gigou old Vine Chenin Blanc vineyard, Saint Jacques.
Light straw in color, with notes of green apples inter-spliced with liquid minimality, and laser-like acidity balancing the fruit. Extraordinary old
vine (110 year old vines) wine for the pros.
2013 Coteaux Du Loir Pineau d’Aunis
The 2013 Pineau d’Aunis is the estate-bottled wine of the 30-45 year old pineau d’aunis grapes. The grape being a distant cousin of pinot noir, it illicits
similar notes, but with a spicier, black peppered inflected edge that complements the high acidity in the wine, making it both refreshing and well balanced
at the same time.os.
2012 Cuvée Gigou’T
Small output from 30 to 35 hectolitres with the hectare, collected with the machine. Picking off 100% and cuvaison during 12 to 18 days with reassembly. Malolactic fermentation and breeding out of barrel of oak during 1 year and 1 year more in the lightning to give smoothness and roundness.
DOMAINE LES GRANDS PRESBYTERES
The domaine is on the famous slopes of Saint Fiacre on the river Maine, the most densely planted town of France. It is located 12 km southeast of Nantes in the Loire Valley at the confluence of two rivers, the Sevre and the Maine.

2012 Muscadet Sevre et Maine Sur Lie ‘Vieilles Vignes’
Clear, yellow colour with a hint of green. Intense flowery smell (rose, acacia, honeysuckle). A typical example of a great Muscadet with a pleasant attack, length and persistency in the mouth and a mineral final taste.
